A beautiful exhibition of photographic works, paintings, and three dramatic short films that demonstrates a womans relationship to her creative aspirations within the arts..
Join me in 2011 for a preview of a series of works about women: concepts of the exhibition MODERN MARRIAGE begin before Christianity when women were concidered to have imperial powers of child birth and believed to be GODS. This belief dates back to earliest humanity -and the exhibition concepts move into the modern AMERICAN world where women wear nearly any hat really and still seek to understand roles as modern humanity paves the road for vitality of the creative aspects of the mind within the arts.
MODERN MARRIAGE exhibits photographic works of a woman married to modern works of famous art in Chicago’s Newest Museum / THE MODERN WING- designed by architect Renzo Piano.
The MODERN WING is joined to Frank Gehry’s Building in Millennium Park, and the MODERN MARRIAGE exhibition photography is on the scene, and directed by artist- TRACEE PICKETT. As the primary photographic exhibition location was shot in the Modern Wing by a woman named, Hilal Cil, from the country of Turkey .. The Modern Wing was exhibiting works from the country of Turkey during the time of the shoot that Hilal and I worked very hard on…
-Hilal: who was on a week-long visit to the United States, hopefully, will be returning to the United States of America in the summer of 2011 to enjoy the final culmination of TRACEE’s concepts and finished exhibition works during the opening of THE MODERN MARRIAGE EXHIBITION.
Engage in Dramatic Short Films, more Photographic Works at the exclusive Chanel Shop and Louis Vuitton in the Magnificent Mile of Chicago, and even in a very famous hotel ballroom where Queen Elizebeth herself stayed / Also, the exhibition is to include a new unveiling of MODERN Paintings by artist-
TRACEE PICKETT / rather than unveiling the bride that is.
The conceptual form of the exhibition is serious and witty, and hopefully it will delight all of its viewers- man and woman alike. ”During the shoot, a very nice elder gentleman passerby-er asked- Do you need a man??? -and everyone near enough to hear laughed!… Some how I worked him into our photos as well as some other interested viewers who ended up in our photo sessions of the exhibition.”
“It was really great fun for being such hard work!” ”And I’d love to do it all over again!” On a serious note: it’s easy to forget that it wasn’t long ago that women could not vote in America, and did not have opportunity to attend college as many women in America do now -there are still women in the world today that carry water to their homes on their head to bath and feed their children -from rain barrels -outside. According to a film maker friend who just finished a visit to India in May 2010 with PBS, and, well, the up and coming exhibition of Modern Marriage is a: spiritual, introspective, and sensitive veiw, of vitality and facination of a woman to the arts and all that the arts perpetuates in the world.
And incidentlly- ”Hilal and I had a great time on the project while shooting @ the MODERN WING the morning of -15 inches of snow -that hit the side walks in Chicago that had shut down air ports in the mid-west and pretty much the entire north eastern United States of America,.. and I can’t wait to get the brief film abstract to you Hilal as I know you can’t wait to see all the work that you shot and we never reviewed together. We’ll proof it all before it goes to exhibition standards -just photography -no photo tricks here, while on-line from the United States of America to the lands of TURKEY.
